Marks and Spencer has said that it will run a one-day promotion offering a range of 15 Christmas products for a penny each.

The promotion, part of its 125th birthday celebrations, will run on 13th November.

M&S chairman Sir Stuart Rose said that the move builds on the success of its previous penny bazaar promotion.

"Our first Penny Bazaars went down a storm with our customers. We received unprecedented demand for the products and so much positive feedback that we've decided to do it all again for Christmas," he commented.

M&S customers can choose up to five products every penny donated will go towards local charities.

Christmas penny bazaar customers will also receive a free voucher booklet offering savings over the festive period.
