Germany-based Aldi has made a success of the hard discount format and now has over 5000 stores across Europe, as well as in Australia and the US. Aldi stores sell a limited range of products at discounted prices. Until recently Aldi only sold own-brand products, but lately it has been offering a limited number of brands in its German stores.
