Sit down and eat, would that be the ultimate convenience in dining at home?
All the ready-to-eat available in store today are not really ready to eat unless you defrost or re-heat or even cook but that's not ready to eat and it's not convenient for the consumer, yet, convenience is what the consumer is asking.
Would there be a market for freshly prepared food delivered hot, safe to eat and completely table ready? Who would like to be first in a new category? Rewrite the rules from the ground up and be positioned to play by the new rules, an arrangement likely to last for a long time, earn super-competitive profit with shields from competition.
Let's talk about it.

Very interesting discussion, Gilbert. May I contribute with my experience in this topic – as an MBA student at Oxford Said Business School, in a team of 5 we were to come up with a business idea and write down a business plan. You would be surprised but one of the business ideas of our team was to set up a company that would provide this type of service – readymade restaurant quality meal in a special package delivered or prepared to pick up on demand. But after some brainstorming, preliminary research and financial expenditure analysis (a food specialist with 12 years in the industry and investment banker with 7 years of experience just to name few were in our team) we come up with the conclusion – the business idea is not viable. First of all, very small market of potential clients those ones who would be prepared to pay premium price which would be between classical Indian, Indian, Chinese, Italian take away and the price for the dinner in the restaurant. Secondly, there are several logistic problems that prevent this business to be scalable. Finally, we come up with alternative solution – to start deliver readymade cooked food to business offices, so our target clients are those who virtually live in the office. Although we had a lot of fun working on this project but at the end of the day we chose different business idea to submit to the Examination School. Polina Strandstrem
