Job description:

A fast growing food ingredients company operating within a niche sector, serving manufacturers in the UK and overseas markets is seeking a Technical Manager.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day to day running of the QC and NPD laboratories, this would involve managing a small but experienced team of people and ensuring that both areas continue to operate to the highest professional standards in accordance with the companies BRC and ISO accreditations and ensuring EC compliance along with customer satisfaction at all times.

The role is diverse and will involve daily communication with our customers and some key suppliers to discuss current projects, product trials, legislation issues, and any other technically related matter.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge within the food ingredients sector and a recognised science based degree, i.e. MSc, BSc.

Knowledge of the UK food and beverage manufacturing industry would be advantageous though not essential, plus strong communication, organisational, and technical skills would be required

This is a senior position within the company and the successful candidate will report directly to the directors.

Indicative Salary Range: £25000 - 40000
