MEXICO/UK: ABF completes acquisition of Unilever Mexico’s edible oils brands
Associated British Foods has announced that it has completed its acquisition of the food oils and fats brands of Unilever in Mexico.
The companies announced on 9 March 2004 that the Mexican arm of Anglo-Dutch consumer products giant Unilever had agreed to sell its edible oils and white fats business to a Mexican subsidiary of ABF for US$110m in cash.
The deal includes Unilever's Capullo bottled canola oil brand, the Mazola edible oil brand and the Inca white fat brand.
