Dutch retailer Albert Heijn (AH), a unit of Dutch retail giant Ahold, is boycotting several Unilever products from today [Monday], in a move to boost AH's negotiating position. AH, which is Holland's largest supermarket chain, will remove several of Unilever's top brands, including Bertolli, Omo, Unox and Knorr, from its supermarket shelves. AH is likely to try to substitute more of its private label products for Unilever products as negotiations progress.
