US: Aldi launches premium own label
Specially selected line extended to US
Discount grocer Aldi has launched a premium own-label line, called Specially Selected, in the US.
The company said the range offered "high-quality foods" at "affordable prices". The line includes a variety of products from across the store, and features a range of speciality products - from "gourmet pastas" to premium meats and cheeses. Many of the products are being introduced through the Special Buy Programme, Aldi added.
Aldi developed the Specially Selected range in European markets, where the retailer claimed it has a "devoted following".
