US: American Italian Pasta sees sales jump

American Italian Pasta Co. has seen a 44.2% jump in revenues for in its second quarter, with sales climbing to US$139.6m.

The company said that revenues were "significantly impacted" by price increases, which were partially offset by a 1.3% drop in volumes.

Gross profit for the period totalled $32.3m.

American Italian Pasta is the largest producer of dry pasta in North America.
