By Katy Askew | 1 May 2012
Swiss meat group Bell has appointed Christian Schröder and Christof Queisser to oversee the operation of its businesses in a number of European markets.
Schröder will take overall responsibility for the group's business in Germany, as of 1 May. He currently serves as CEO of Bell subsidiary Abraham Group.
The firm also wants to consolidate its German management and move operations from Bochum, western Germany, to the more central location of Seevetal by mid-2013.
Queisser, currently director of Zimbo group, will take over responsibility for the markets of Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Benelux, the company added.
A spokesperson said the reorganisation aims to allow the development of a stronger country-specific strategy.
Bell sees "great potential" in these markets and will continue to invest in their development, the spokesperson added.
