UK: Bernard Matthews UK boss leaves firm

The chief executive of Bernard Matthews' UK business has left the company, the turkey producer has said.

The departure of Bart Dalla Mura, who was the public face of the business amid this year's bird flu outbreak, was confirmed today (2 November).

Bernard Matthews would not say if Dalla Mura quit or was sacked. A spokesperson said: "We wish to thank him for his contribution to the business and we wish him well for the future."

The company saw sales plummet earlier this year amid consumer concern over the bird flu outbreak.
