Profit in the period was up for Turkey's BIM

Turkish discount retailer BIM has booked an increase in full-year profit.

In the 12 months to the end of December, net profit amounted to TRY331.3m compared to TRY298.9m a year earlier, the company reported today (6 March).

Operating profit in the period reached TRY407.9m, a 13.5% increase on last year. 

Sales were up, reaching TRY9.9bn versus TRY8.2m in the comparable period of the prior year.
