UK: Dairy Crest buys outstanding interest in Country Life brand
UK dairy products maker Dairy Crest has announced the acquisition of minority interests in the English Butter Marketing Company.
Dairy Crest said that it has now purchased the outstanding 44% minority in the English Butter Marketing Company, which owns the Country Life brand, from The Cheese Company Limited (6%) and Associated Co-operative Creameries (38%) for a combined cash consideration of £4.0m (US$7.2m).
"This acquisition will give Dairy Crest the opportunity to accelerate the development of the Country Life brand," the company added.
