UK: Dole revamps fruit range

By just-food.com | 10 October 2008

Produce company Dole Packaged Foods Europe has introduced two additions to its product line up in the UK.

The company has launched a Fruit & Rice range in three flavours: mango, pineapple and mandarin.

Dole has also packaged its Fruit & Juice range in a 695g jar in five variants: pineapple, tropical fruit, sunny fruits, mandarins and peaches.

"It's vital that we continue to bring a fresh new offering to the category", said Andy Coult, sales director, Northern Europe, Dole Packaged Foods. "In addition to in-home consumption we are aiming Fruit & Rice at the buoyant 'on the go', lunch-box and snacking market."

The Fruit & Rice range is available in four-packs at GBP2.19 (US$3.72) and the fruit in jars range at GBP1.99.

Dole is also rolling out a new look to its portfolio with "striking" fruit graphics against a contemporary white background and new product descriptors. The ranges consist of Fruit & Rice, Fruit & Juice, Fruit & Jelly and Fruit Parfait.
