US: Dr Schar opens first US manufacturing site

Gluten-free food manufacturer Dr Schar has opened its first manufacturing facility in the US.
The European firm has seen strong growth in demand for gluten-free products in Europe and the company said the opening of the New Jersey-based facility would help accelerate growth through improved availability.
Dr Schar's sales are being driven by growing coeliac diagnosis rates and an increasing number of people becoming aware of the benefits of a gluten-free diet. The company produces over 30 dedicated gluten-free items in the US including bread, pasta, cookies, snacks, crackers & pizza.

Dr. Schar opens its first manufacturing facility in the USA!

Dr. Schar USA, a subsidiary of Europe's market leader in gluten-free food, officially opened its first gluten-free manufacturing facility in the United States on June 21, 2012 .
Located in Swedesboro, New Jersey, the 60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility will produce Schar's popular and newest baked goods.
