US: Ex-P&G exec joins Gen Mills board

General Mills has appointed Kerry Clark to its board of directors.

Clark, chairman and CEO of Cardinal Health, joined the pharmaceuticals and medical supplies distributor in 2006.

Previously, Clark was vice chairman of the board of Procter & Gamble, with responsibility for its US$20bn family health business.

Over a 32-year career at Procter & Gamble, Clark has held a variety of senior executive roles, including extensive international operating responsibilities.

Clark's election to the General Mills board increases the number of directors at the US food giant to 14.
