Harry Ramsden's has launched a new chicken product

Harry Ramsden's, the UK-based fish and chip restaurant chain, is piloting a range of retail chicken products under its "at home" brand.

The frozen Chicken Steaks and Dippers, which will be produced by 2 Sisters Food Group, are on sale in 560 selected Tesco stores nationwide and online at www.tesco.com

Joe Teixeira, CEO of Harry Ramsden's, said: "While fish remains by far the number one best seller within our restaurants, chicken is the next preferred option at Harry's across every demographic. This, combined with the fact that Harry's Cod and Fillet are already widely available in UK supermarkets, leads us to believe that offering the new range of chicken options is the natural and logical next step for Harry Ramsden's."

The Crispy Dippers, made from 100% chicken breast and coated in "Harry's secret batter", are available in packs of 25 and 50, retailing at GBP3 and GBP5 respectively. Crispy Battered, Southern Fried and Hot and Spicy packs of four Chicken Steaks, also made from 100% chicken breast, retail at GBP3.

Harry Ramsden’s Pilots New ‘At Home’ Chicken Range

Harry Ramsden’s, the iconic British brand, world famous for its fish and chips, is piloting a brand new range of chicken products across a selected number of UK Tesco stores.

Harry Ramsden’s at Home frozen Chicken Steaks and Dippers, made from 100% British chickens, are now available for purchase in the frozen aisles of 560 selected Tesco stores nationwide, as well as online at www.tesco.com. 

The Crispy Dippers, made from 100% chicken breast and coated in Harry’s secret batter, are available in packs of 25 and 50, retailing at £3 and £5 respectively. Crispy Battered, Southern Fried and Hot and Spicy packs of 4 Chicken Steaks, also made from 100% chicken breast, retail at £3.

Widely regarded  as one of the UK’s most  trustworthy brands, it is not surprising that like the fish they serve, the chickens used in the new Harry’s at Home range have  ‘farm to fork’ traceability. Suppliers include British family businesses who are committed to renewable energy, best practice in sustainability and British poultry production, ensuring the highest quality meat along with a low carbon footprint. Like the Harry Ramsden’s chips which are freshly made on site using only British potatoes, the chickens used in the Harry’s at Home products are all locally sourced.

Teixeira confirms that the Harry’s at Home range will be available in selected Tesco stores throughout summer 2014 and reviewed thereafter.
