VIETNAM: Gannon invests in hi-tech dairy facility

The Gannon Group has invested US$10m in the establishment of a high-tech dairy company having tested the market with imported products, the Thai News Service has reported.

Gannon Vietnam, the US-based company's subsidiary, is licensed as a 100% foreign-owned enterprise. Its scope of operation currently includes labelling, packaging, warehousing, logistics, industrial leasing, beverage production and infrastructure development.

The new plant, which will be located in the southern province of Long An's Tan Duc Zone, is expected to produce 30m litres of fresh milk each year under the brand name Milky US.

The company also plans to sell yoghurt, powdered milk, soy milk and fruit juices.
