US: Hain Celestial in gluten-free initiative

US natural and organic specialist Hain Celestial Group has unveiled an initiative to promote the gluten-free credentials of its product range.

The company markets around 100 gluten-free products, spanning its Arrowhead Mills, DeBoles, Imagine, Rice Dream, Soy Dream and Hain Pure Foods brands.

As part of the initiative, Hain Celestial has created a corporate gluten-free logo that will be placed on gluten-free products, which will also bear the words "Gluten Free" or "Wheat Free".

According to The Celiac Disease Foundation, gluten intolerance affects one in every 133 people in the US.
