USA: INC2inc Hires Supply Chain Visionary
Dr. Kumar will manage INC2inc's development of innovative supply chain solutions for food manufacturers and raw material providers. The company's plan is to enable users of the INC2inc marketplace with "supply chain transparency" and "active collaboration", allowing them to create accurate projections based on demand, consumption patterns, and inventory availability.
"Dr. Kumar brings the industry and technology experience and credentials to move INC2inc ahead aggressively with its supply chain plans," said Scott Sexton, co-founder and president, INC2inc. "He brings exceptional experience in helping companies transform and streamline their business processes for maximum efficiency and higher profitability. We are very pleased to have him join our team."
INC2inc's executive team has over 50 years of experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The company's neutral online marketplace is live and has been processing ingredients and packaging replenishment-inventory transactions since March of this year. As a first-to-market digital marketplace in the food industry, INC2inc also allows users to manage and update inventory, run customized transaction reports and analyses, and forecast future demand for products online in real time. In addition to Dr. Kumar, the executive management team consists of the following individuals:
Robert F. (Bo) Sexton, Chairman of the Board and CEO
Mr. Sexton brings 40 years of food manufacturing industry experience, and three decades of executive business experience to INC2inc's helm. His executive business career spans multiple markets within the food industry, such as beverage, snack cake, potato chips, bread and frozen food facilities - first as Executive Vice President for food industry giant Campbell Taggart Inc ., the nations second largest baker, and later at his own company, Bakery Associates, Inc.
Scott Sexton, Founder and President
As INC2inc's food industry visionary and president, Sexton brings a deep understanding of the food industry, as well as sales, management and business development expertise to INC2inc's executive team. Sexton's entrepreneurial, nascent vision for streamlining food industry transactions with Internet technology took shape at Bakery Associates, a food industry brokerage for major ingredient and packaging companies, where he served as vice president.
Chris Renner, Founder and COO
As founder and COO of INC2inc, Renner establishes the company's strategic technology vision and executes the company's business and technology goals. Prior to founding INC2inc, entrepreneurial Renner was the founder of three previous ventures, and has also served as VP of a systems integration firm in Denver where he oversaw the rapid growth of the business, doubling the number of employees and increasing operational capacity within 18 months.
Gregory Bott, Chief Technology Officer
Bott brings INC2inc extensive high-tech expertise gleaned from positions at Microsoft Corporation and Price Waterhouse. He's charged with managing INC2inc's Web transaction capabilities, selecting software and hardware products, developing and expanding Web service offerings and growing the infrastructure and architecture of the company's technology backbone.
Jeff Makohon, Vice President of Solutions
As the vice president of solutions, Makohon is responsible for product management, customer service, Web site development, and customer IT integration. Prior to joining INC2inc Makohon worked with CSC Consulting, where he was responsible for business development and client relationship activities.
Jon Cunningham, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance
As CFO and vice president of finance at INC2inc, Jon Cunningham breaks the traditional CFO mold by fostering a culture of communication in order to achieve cohesiveness between different areas of expertise. Prior to joining INC2inc, Cunningham was with Arthur Andersen LLP, where he contributed to the success of the Assurance and Business Advisory practice by managing projects that generated gross fees of three million dollars during 1999.
Hill Pratt, Vice President of Business Development
As vice president of business development at INC2inc, Hill Pratt is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing alliances with management consulting partners, and directing sales initiatives and staff. Prior to joining INC2inc, Pratt was a partner in CSC's supply chain practice focused primarily on the consumer packaged goods and chemical industries.
INC2inc is e-inventing the food chain through its business-to-business (B2B) online marketplace for the highly fragmented food and beverage manufacturing industry. INC2inc enables multiple buyers (food manufacturers) and sellers (food ingredient, raw material and packaging suppliers) to transact business on the Web, eliminating inefficiencies, decreasing costs of doing business, and empowering communication. INC2inc is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and was selected for the dbusiness.com "50 to Watch" list. For more information, visit INC2inc's Web site at www.INC2inc.com.
