UK: Lyons Seafoods appoints sales boss

Lyons Seafoods has appointed Jonathan Hodgson as sales director.

Hodgson comes to Lyons Seafoods from convenience food group Greencore, where he was commercial director of the cakes and desserts category. Previously, he has held positions with Young's Seafood, Geest Plc and Asda.

"As a skilled sales director with over 22 years experience in the food and drink industry, Jonathan is perfectly placed to help develop our foodservice and retail business and drive sales," commented Charles Dawson, MD of Lyons Seafoods.

"Jonathan has a proven track record of delivering growth, and given his past experience, has a strong understanding of both the prawn and speciality seafood market and the food industry as a whole."

Speaking of his appointment Hodgson said: "Within the retail sector I have experience of working across the fresh, frozen and ambient sectors and joining Lyons Seafoods gives me the opportunity to specialise in my chosen area of expertise."
