UK: Macphie names sales and marketing director

UK food ingredients manufacturer Macphie of Glenbervie has appointed Andrew Underwood to lead its sales and marketing operations.
Underwood replaces former commercial director Ronnie Leggett, a spokesperson for the Macphie said today (26 August).
Prior to joining Macphie, Underwood worked for foodservice operator Brakes, Schwan's Consumer Brands, The Coca-Cola Co. and most recently Authentic Foods.
Chief executive Alastair Macphie said: "Andrew's impressive track record in food service, food manufacturing and retail will be a great asset to the company. Andrew has responsibility for developing our sales, marketing and customer services teams and expanding our GBP41m (US$66.7m) revenue. This is a crucial role at the heart of Macphie's future growth strategy, and I am confident he will rise to the challenge."
Underwood is expected to divide his time between the company's headquarters in Glenbervie and Manchester.
Macphie of Glenbervie produces a range of food ingredients for the bakery and foodservice and sectors for the UK and abroad.
