Mars price-marked chocolate aims to capture shoppers having a 'big night in' |
Mars Inc has announced the launch of price-marked packs in the UK in a bid to communicate value and attract "savvier" shoppers.
Large sharing blocks of Galaxy chocolate will be available as GBP1 (US$1.6) price-marked packs from the middle of the month. The company is hoping to cash in on the trend for people to spend evenings at home as autumn approaches.
Price-marked packs with a visible 49p flash will also be available across Mars' core chocolate bar range of Mars, Snickers, Twix, Bounty and the standard Galaxy.
Mars trade communications manager Bep Dhaliwal said: "Price-marking our core range of best-selling bars is a great way to communicate value both to retailers and consumers who often look to the brands that they know and love, to treat themselves. This activity is also great news for Galaxy fans in particular, with Galaxy Large Sharing Blocks at GBP1 – perfect for a 'big night in' occasion."
