Mars Inc has expanded its Combo snacks stable in the US with the launch of a 7 Layer tortilla chip.

The Combos Baked Snacks 7 Layer Dip Tortilla is made with Cheddar cheese, sour cream, avocado, tomato, refried beans, onion and jalapeño peppers.

The Combos brand is driving growth in the US salty snack category, Mars said, and builds on the 2011 launch of Combos Snacks Buffalo Blue Cheese Pretzel.

The product will be available from April 2013 with a suggested retail price of US$0.89 per 1.5oz singles pack and $2.49 for a 6.3oz bag.
