US: Maui Land & Pineapple names COO

Maui Land & Pineapple Co. has named CFO Robert Webber as chief operating officer with immediate effect.

Webber will assume direct operational responsibility for the Hawaii-based firm's two principal operating units: Maui Pineapple Company and Kapalua Land Company. He will continue to serve as the group's CFO.

"Rob has been an exceptional CFO for Maui Land & Pineapple Company," said David Cole, ML&P's chairman, president and CEO. "He has led several key initiatives and has been instrumental in setting operating strategy for Kapalua Land Company and Maui Pineapple Company."

Webber joined the company in May 2006 as CFO and senior vice president of business development. Previously he served as president and CEO of two publicly-held technology firms in Southern California.
