NEW ZEALAND: New butter puts an end to unhealthy perceptions
Nutrition researchers in New Zealand have developed a new butter that has been heralded as bringing to an end the time when butter was perceived as bad for you. The butter, which is apparently comparable to polyunsaturated margarines in terms of its ability to reduce blood cholesterol levels, was made using milk from cows fed with natural oilseeds. The specially formulated diet altered the fat content of their milk.
