UK: Northern Foods faces interim profit drop after promotions and product launches
UK food group Northern Foods' interim results, due to be released tomorrow, are expected to be buffeted by the costs involved in promotions and product launches associated with a move towards own-label and branded goods.
Analysts are confident that the investment will reap rewards for the group, however, leaving it in a good situation for future growth.
Market watchers expect to see pre-tax profits of £40m, down from £42m year on year.
