SPAIN: Pastas Gallo buys stake in Czech firm Europasta

Spain's Pastas Gallo has bought a 25% stake in Czech firm Europasta for an undisclosed sum.

Pastas Gallo said the deal was part of its plan to expand into central Europe.

Europasta, which last year generated sales of EUR45m (US$55.2m), sells products under brands including Adriana, Zatkovy and Rosick.

Pastas Gallo, which has three production facilities in Spain, reported annual sales of EUR215m in 2009.
