Peachtree Network Inc. (CDNX:PCH), the leading innovator in online grocery and food-related services, today announced the launch of the world's first wireless Internet grocery shopping service. Residents of Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver can now shop for groceries over the Internet via Internet-enabled cellular phones.

The launch is a cooperative effort among Peachtree Network Inc., Bell Mobility, Speedware Corporation, and Peachtree Network grocers including Sun Valley Fine Foods, Mourelatos Supermarkets, the Country Grocer, and Stong's Markets. The wireless service is scheduled to be available in fourteen other U.S. and Canadian markets covered by the Peachtree Network by Labour Day.

The wireless online grocery service is a complement to the Peachtree Network online grocery and gourmet service at The service allows Peachtree-registered shoppers to fill their shopping cart over time, interchangeably using a computer with Internet access and a WAP enabled-mobile device. The wireless store shares many popular features with its Web complement, including the "QuickList" shopping list, "6 o'clock Solutions" recipes, flyer specials, and the product search function. By using the "QuickList" to purchase one's most commonly purchased products, adding ingredients from the "6 o'clock Solutions" recipes, and selecting a few flyer specials, a household can complete its weekly grocery shopping, cost-effectively, in under 10 minutes.

Jeremy Lee Jonas, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Peachtree Network, says, "At Peachtree Network, we pride ourselves on anticipating consumer needs. We were the first to bring a Web supermarket into the home, and today we make a giant leap by placing the grocery store in the shopper's pocket. We envision wireless grocery shopping to be part of everyday life, just like the cell phone is today." Jonas further notes: "This service gives consumers access to their grocery store while at the neighborhood hockey rink, on a ski lift, or waiting at a bus stop or for a colleague at lunch. It provides unprecedented convenience in grocery shopping."

"We are excited to be working with Peachtree Network on their venture into the wireless frontier," says Christopher Koppe, Director of Wireless Business Development, Speedware. Peachtree Network enlisted Speedware's assistance, consisting of the MobileDev wireless development environment and in-house consulting, to build this pioneering application. "Wireless grocery shopping demonstrates the power and practicality of mobile data services."

Effective immediately, Peachtree Network's wireless on-line grocery service is available to Bell Mobility customers with Mobile Browser, a feature that enables users to log onto the Internet from their Digital PCS phone. To access the service, Bell Mobility customers simply launch the browser on their ".com-ready" phones and select "Groceries by Peachtree" under the Directories and Shopping heading in Mobile Browser's main menu.
