US: PepsiCo UK boss takes global sales role

US snack giant PepsiCo has appointed Salman Amin EVP of sales and marketing.

Amin, who headed up the company's UK and Ireland business, will report to PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi on global brands and marketing and John Compton, CEO of PepsiCo Americas Foods, on customer team accountabilities.

Amin will lead an integrated sales and marketing strategy and drive the company's international marketing agenda for beverages and foods.

"Salman is a proven PepsiCo leader who has delivered exceptional results as he has transformed our UK portfolio, strengthened our brands, developed a stable of great talent and strategically positioned our business for growth," said Nooyi.

"In a marketplace where global brands are increasingly vital, and more closely linked sales and marketing capabilities define future success, he is ideally suited to take this critical new role."

The company also announced the appointment of Tom Greco to the newly created role of executive vice president - sales, North America Beverages (NAB).
