UK: RH Amar extends cooking oils range
RH Amar & Co., a UK-based continental foods importer and distributor, is extending its Cooks&Co house brand to include seed and nut oils.
Aimed at retail and foodservice customers, retail sales of Cooks&Co products have risen by 10% to GBP2.5m (US$4.97m) in the last year, and RH Amar expects the new oils to add to that result.
Samantha Deacon, product marketing manager at RH Amar & Co., said: "People who buy Cooks&Co products are looking for healthy, aspirational and interesting food. The new oils are a natural extension to the range and one we feel will complement it perfectly."
The new range includes virgin sesame, olive oil and chilli, and walnut oils, and are available in Sainsbury's, Musgrave, independent speciality retailers and wholesalers across the UK.
