USA: ServiceStop.com Secures Partnership With Just Desserts, Expanding Reach to Corporate Employees
The deal adds to ServiceStop's roster of services and extends Just Desserts' corporate reach with a highly visible Web presence through ServiceStop.
"The Just Desserts name is a universal symbol of quality and enjoying the good life throughout the San Francisco region," said Jon Clemens, CEO and founder of ServiceStop. "We are extremely pleased to add Just Desserts to our lineup of home- and office-delivered services. They're a perfect fit."
Just Desserts joins dozens of services available on ServiceStop, including food delivery, car care and travel arrangements. ServiceStop helps companies improve employee retention and motivation by giving human resource managers the ability to offer these timesaving services to workers through customized benefit programs.
"A theme we see again and again in research is that little things really do mean a lot when it comes to job satisfaction and employee retention," said Sally Riggs Fuller, a professor at the University of Washington School of Business and expert in organizational culture and employee attitudes. "This is particularly true at today's knowledge-intensive companies, such as high-technology, professional services and Internet firms, where people are the engine of the corporation."
The agreement allows Just Desserts to make it easier for its base of several hundred corporate customers to place and track dessert orders for birthday celebrations, picnics and other company events. Just Desserts' extensive client list includes Host, Marriott, Costco, Starbucks, Webvan, Caffinos, and major hotels including Hyatt, Westin and Hilton.
"Just Desserts is excited about the opportunity to partner with ServiceStop and provide others with a little extra sweetness in the day," said Michele Eldredge, COO of Just Desserts. "Our new relationship adds value for our existing customers through the convenience of the Web and helps us distribute our products to more San Francisco-area companies than ever."
Just Desserts has been providing the San Francisco area with award winning desserts for over 25 years and was voted "best bakery" and "best desserts" by the San Francisco Examiner, Bay Guardian and the Oakland Tribune in 1998, 1999 and 2000 Reader's Polls.
