US: Stop & Shop in Hershey recall

By: just-food.com | 5 September 2008

US retailer Stop & Shop has removed 7.25oz plastic bottles of Hershey Chocolate Shell Topping from its shelves.

The removal, announced today (5 September), follows a voluntary recall by Hershey as a result of the product possibly containing almonds, an allergen that was not listed as an ingredient.

The product recalled by Hershey has a UPC code of 3400000600 and was sold nationwide after 8 July.

Customers who have an allergy to almonds and who still have the product are being urged to discard it or return it to a Stop & Shop for a refund.
