Camp will take up role from 1 May

Tate & Lyle has appointed William Camp, a board member at Chiquita Brands International, as a non-executive director.

Camp, who has over thirty years experience in the agriculture products industry, will take up his role on 1 May.

From 1985 until his retirement in 2007, Camp was employed by Archer Daniels Midland in a variety of roles including executive vice president, Asia strategy, and senior vice president, global oil seeds, cocoa and wheat milling.

Based in the US, he has a portfolio of directorships, serving on the board of Chiquita Brands International, Grain Storage and Oasis Foods Co.

In a trading update yesterday, Tate & Lyle said that underlying trading in its final quarter had been in line with its expectations.
