CANADA: TreeHouse begins PL creamer direct supply

By: just-food.com | 22 January 2010

TreeHouse Foods will begin directly distributing its private-label non-dairy creamer to Canadian retailers.

The company said that it will sell its non-dairy creamer through its Bay Valley Foods subsidiary, ED Smith, rather than through current distributor, coffee and tea products supplier Sandra.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but are not expected to have a material effect on TreeHouse's results.

"The addition of the retail private label non-dairy creamer business will allow ED Smith to continue building its growing presence in the Canadian market and expanding its relationships with Canada's leading retailers," said Harry Walsh, president of Bay Valley Foods.
