Colman's Cranberry Sauce joins Unilever's condiment portfolio

Unilever has added to its Colman's condiment stable in the UK with the launch of a cranberry sauce line.

The existing Colman's range includes Bramley Apple Sauce, Instant Gravy Paste and English Mustard.

The condiments market has experienced growth of 4.3% in the last 12 months, Unilever said. It added its Colman's range is the brand leader in the category with a 32% share.

The launch will be supported by in-store promotions and online support.

COLMAN'S EXPANDS CONDIMENTS PORTFOLIO WITH NEW CRANBERRY SAUCE

Colman's, the number 1 condiments brand from Unilever UK, has expanded its sauces portfolio to include Cranberry Sauce.

Colman's Cranberry Sauce forms part of the existing Colman's range which comprises of Bramley Apple Sauce, Instant Gravy Paste and its iconic English Mustard. The launch meets consumer expectations of a leading UK condiment brand to have a cranberry variant.

Laura Gordon Hall, Colman's Brand Manager from Unilever UK says: "The Condiments market in the UK is an important segment within the Sauces category and is experiencing strong growth of 4.3% in the last 12 months. Colman's is the brand leader in Condiments, with a 32% share and strengthening our portfolio to include Colman's Cranberry Sauce is a natural extension for the range."

Colman's Cranberry Sauce comes in the iconic, square Colman's condiments jar but features bright and modern packaging and is light weighted to 250ml.

The label still communicates the British heritage of the Colman's brand, but has been redesigned to communicate a more premium product offering, including a bigger food shot for increased standout on shelf to encourage younger shoppers to purchase and drive growth into the Condiments market.
