Street Sensations - New World Food Good to Go Range from Waitrose

Waitrose is launching a range of new lunchtimes treats inspired by foods from around the world.

Taking inspiration from popular street foods from Jamaica, Turkey, Vietnam, Morocco, Madeira, Italy and Spain, the new range of Waitrose Good to Go foods is a colourful and exotic selection of much more than just sandwiches.

Choose from roti, foccacia, pancakes, baguettes, salads, cakes and fresh fruit to quash those lunchtime hunger pangs. Enjoy a taste of Vietnam with a bánh mì Baguette, with pulled pork, picked vegetables, coriander and chilli sauce. Or travel to Morocco with the delicious Spiced Chicken Parcels, packed with spiced chicken, vegetables and tangy onions.

On a hot British summer day, the Waitrose Coconut Water with Pineapple and Passion fruit is a refreshing alternative to juice. Stock up on fresh fruit and treat-sized cakes, like the moist and moreish Portuguese Cake, as a pick me up for those tough 4pm lulls!

Highlights of the new range include:

Sandwiches

Bánh mì baguette (Vietnam) £3 This sandwich, known as Bánh mì, is a light baguette, filled with pulled pork, crunchy pickled vegetables, fresh coriander with a few drops of spicy chilli sauce and mayonnaise. Bánh mì is the epitome of street foods, usually sold from stalls across Vietnam. This sandwich is so popular around the world, its name has been added to the Oxford English dictionary.

Paneer and Aloo Tikka Roti (India) £2.60 India is famous for its street food and this roti is a perfect lunch for people on the go. Chunks of paneer are combined with a punchy tikka sauce and studded with potatoes and spiced peppers.
