Winn-Dixie Stores has appointed the ex-vice president of category management for Bi-Lo, Robert Mould, as its vice president of grocery.

In the role, Mould will be responsible for the sales and merchandising of all grocery, dairy and frozen foods for the Jacksonville, Florida-based grocer.

Prior to his position at Bi-Lo, Mould served in merchandising roles at H-E-B in San Antonio, Texas.

"I am very excited about the addition of Robert to our company, and the changes we have made to our existing team of talented leadership," said chief merchandising and marketing officer Dan Portnoy. "This will enable us to remain focused and responsive to the needs of our customers in this challenging economy while retaining our competitive advantage in the marketplace."

Winn-Dixie has also announced the internal promotion of Matt Gutermuth, vice president of centre store to group vice president, non-perishables.

Meanwhile, Mary Kellmanson, vice president of marketing, has been promoted to group vice president of marketing, and Frank Thurlow and Mike Krage, directors of meat and seafood, and produce, respectively, have been named as vice presidents.
