Blog: The future is... feijoas

I'm pleased to introduce a new contributor to, Tracey Barker, a British food writer based in New Zealand. Tracey has spent many years writing about the food industry as well as doing producer/chef interviews, recipe subbing and hosting radio programmes on the history of food. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Journalists as well as of both the UK and New Zealand Guilds of Food Writers.

Her first article illustrates the changing nature of the New Zealand food industry, which generates over half of the country's export income. The future is... feijoas, figs, umeboshi, avocado oil, venison, mussels and much much more.
