Big data is an area that has seen rapid growth across a variety of industries in recent years – not least in among food manufacturing companies.

Figures show the number of new big data roles being advertised by these companies has increased in recent months.

The number of newly-advertised roles stood at 155 in the first quarter of 2021, up from 117 in the final three months of last year and up from 61 in the third quarter of 2020.

The figures are compiled by GlobalData, which tracks the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.
