Food safety testing company BioControl Systems has been ISO 9001- 2000 certified.

The certification attests that BioControl meets internationally accepted standards of quality systems management for research and development, and service.

The ISO 9000 series of standards was developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a federation of national standards bodies from some 130 countries based in Geneva, Switzerland. It represents the preferred benchmark on good management practices in more than 90 countries. It is considered a mark of excellence for quality mangament.

ISO 9001-2000 requires careful documentation of all quality management procedures in conformance with international standards. ISO 9001-2000 covers quality management systems, research & development, and manufacturing. ISO 9001-2000 certification requires audits by independent third-party registrars for initial registration and continued registration.

In its 16th year of operation BioControl is an industry leader in rapid diagnostic methods for the detection of food borne pathogens, quantitative measurement of microorganisms, and systems for accurate hygiene monitoring.  Its products include a full line of rapid tests for Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, Listeria, and Campylobacter as well as tests for routine microbiology testing (coliforms, total plate counts) and product facility HACCP validation.
