SYSCO Corporation, the largest foodservice distributor in North America, announced today that Brett Lindig, executive vice president at Sysco Food Services of San Antonio, LP, will transfer to Sysco Food Services of Dallas, LP, to serve in the same capacity. Mr. Lindig will assume his new position effective July 2, 2000, the start of SYSCO's fiscal year 2001.

Richard J. Schnieders, executive vice president and chief operating officer of SYSCO, said Mr. Lindig, 38, began his SYSCO career at Sysco Food Services of Austin, LP as a marketing associate from 1985 to 1988. He joined Sysco Food Services of Dallas, LP, in 1990 as a brand manager, was promoted to director of marketing later that same year and in 1992 became district manager. In 1995 Mr. Lindig was appointed regional vice president at the Dallas operation, in 1997 he became senior vice president of territory sales, and the following year he was promoted to his current position at Sysco Food Services of San Antonio, LP. Born in Austin and raised in Houston, he is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a BBA degree in 1985. Mr. Lindig will relocate to the Dallas area in the near future.

Sysco Food Services of Dallas, LP, markets and distributes a complete line of food and related products to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments, business and industry locations and other foodservice operators throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and in the northeast Texas and western Louisiana market areas.
