Polish authorities are concerned about rumours that British Sugar Overseas (BSO) may be planning to liquidate sugar production in its newly bought sugar plant in the Ketrzynski poviat region. BSO, a subsidiary of Associated British Foods , has been offering voluntary resignation packages to its 300 strong staff since the beginning of this year. The plant "was not bought to be sold," however, insisted BSO business director Stanley Dziedzic.
