US snack maker Inventure Foods is set to sell a range of snacks under the Nathan's restaurant brand.

In a deal with restaurant chain Nathan's Famous, Inventure will sell snacks including crunchy crinkle fries and crinkle cut potato crisps.

"The common denominator within all of our successful snack foods is creating great tasting products that connect with the brand," Inventure Foods senior vice president of marketing Steve Sklar said yesterday (29 September).

"The Nathan's Famous menu offers a wide variety of diverse, inspired flavours that will allow us to develop unique snack chips that stand out from the typical 'sour-cream-and-onion' crowd."

Nathan's Famous snacks will include flavoured crunchy crinkle fries, available in 2.0 to 3.5 ounce bags with a suggested retail price of US$1.99-2.19 per package. There also will be a Nathan's crinkle cut potato chip available in a single serve 1.25 ounce size that will retail from $0.99-1.29.

The products will be available at grocery, vending and convenience store retailers this autumn, the company said.

The deal is Inventure's latest licencing deal. It also sells products under brands including T.G.I. Friday's and Burger King.
