KP Snacks, the UK arm of Intersnack, is expanding the Hula Hoops brand with the launch of Hula Hoops Puft.

The company said the product was a cheese flavoured "lighter version" of Hula Hoops. Aimed at impulse shoppers, it will roll out this month in a 20g "handy-pack". The launch will be supported by a marketing campaign including TV, digital and point of sale promotion.

Matt Collins, trading controller convenience, commented: "Hula Hoops Puft will bring to life the fun element of the brand, whilst engaging with those in search of a lighter snack. KP Snacks is kick-starting the new year with exciting NPD from the UK's No.1 fun to eat snack; Hula Hoops. Continuing the nation's love for the popular potato snack, KP Snacks is delighted to introduce NEW Hula Hoops Puft - a lighter version of Hula Hoops that offers consumers even more snacking variety. NEW Hula Hoops Puft will feature in the brand's 2015 marketing campaign, comprising of TV and digital activation. From March, promotions, displays and sampling will ensure strong consumer awareness at point of purchase.

Rolling out from this month, the lighter and crispy version of well-loved Hula Hoops is available in a 20g handy-pack and comes in a cheese flavoured variant, which is a first for the brand.
