Lactalis Nestlé has extended its Aero dessert range in the UK with the addition of a mint and choc flavour variant.

The new flavour will sit alongside the brand's milk and white chocolate varieties, the company said today (28 October).

Marketing director Michael Inpong said the brand's mint flavoured products account for around half of all Aero's confectionery sales.

He said: "Mint and Choc was a natural choice for us because it has strong heritage in Aero."

In addition, the full Aero dessert range has been rebranded to Aero Bubbly Dessert and the packaging has been revamped.

The mousses come in packs of four and will be sold in selected supermarkets and convenience stores with an RSP of GBP1.19 (US$1.85).

Lactalis Nestlé is a fresh dairy products venture between French dairy group Lactalis and the Swiss food giant.

The business, in which Lactalis has a 60% stake and Nestlé holds 40%, covers nine markets in Europe, including the UK, France and Spain.
