LDC has launched a snacking range under its Marie brand

French food maker LDC has added a series of products to its Marie range.

The My Formula range, available in the French market, consists of a lunchtime starter, hot main course and dessert. It features three options including Creamed Chicken and Rice; Chicken Pesto Rosso and Tabouli Pasta with Three Cheeses.

Marie also launched microwaveable quiches with integrated forks to cater to on-the-go snack demand. The quiches are available in Three Cheese and Chorizo-Marinated Tomato options.

The launch sees Marie present in 12 product categories now both across chilled and frozen. A spokesperson for Marie told just-food the launches targeted the snacking opportunity. "Snacking is now part of daily life for French consumers, for either economic reasons or lack of time."

She added consumers would expect their snacks to deliver on two fronts: "nutritional balance and satiety".

The new range is available at French supermarkets from 1 October at a price point of EUR5.50 (US$6.21).
