Mondelez International has launched its oven-baked Ritz Crisp & Thins snack line in the US.

The move, which follows the 2015 debut of the Ritz Crisp & Thin range in the UK, “responds to consumer demand of better-for-you chip options”, Mondelez said.

Ritz Crisp & Thins, which are available in Sea Salt, Cream Cheese & Onion, Bacon and Salt & Vinegar varieties, are “rolled thin and oven baked and contain 50% less fat than the leading regular fried potato chips”, the company said.

Lauren Sella, director of Ritz Equity for North America said: “This is a chip that’s thin and crispy, perfect for munching, and the rich flavours bring it to the next level.”

Ritz Crisp & Thins are available at select retailers for a suggested retail price of US$3.69. Single-serve packs are also available at convenience stores for a suggested price of $1.49.
