Spanish food company SOS Cuetara has confirmed that it is still accepting bids for its biscuit unit.

"The auction process is ongoing and we are still receiving interest in the sale," a spokesperson for the group told just-food.

According to Spanish reports, the biscuit unit has been valued at around EUR238m (US$324.84m).

The divesture of the company's biscuit unit was announced in order to fund SOS's EUR360m acquisition of the Bertolli olive oil brand from Unilever.

The company said that the sale of the regional business will allow it to focus its efforts internationally.
