US retailer Stop & Shop has appointed three executive vice presidents in a shake-up of its management team.

Jim Dwyer, previously president for a sector within American Standard has been named executive vice president of strategy and business development.

Robin Michel, previously vice president of merchandising at Wisconsin-based retailer Roundy's, has joined the company as executive vice president and general manager of Giant-Landover.

Jeff Slater, previously human resource executive for the Dunkin' brands, was named executive vice president of people.

CEO José Alvarez said: "These additions are extremely positive for our company. Not only are these individuals uniquely qualified to serve in their respective roles but they add bench strength and will permit better focus on areas key to our future."

Dwyer will lead the company's marketing and corporate brands, Michel will oversee Giant's sales, operating profits, organization and employees, and Slater will lead the company's human resource efforts.
