Natural and organic foods group SunOpta has dismissed its chief executive officer, Steve Bromley, and chief financial officer, John Dietrich, as part of its ongoing audit investigation.

The audit was launched to investigate a large write-down in its berry business.

The company said both executives would leave their positions by December. However, Bromley will remain on SunOpta's board until his term expires.

Shares in the company sank 19.14% today (27 June), dropping to US$5.24 at time of press.
